Thats ok Joe, it's a long time since I worked on domestiv stuff so I am not sure what the osc/mixer arrangment is on your radio, it might be a self oscillating mixer, it's hard to say without a diagram, if it's a seperate osc then the osc "might" be working but not getting through to the mixer, if that is the case then some voltage checks and switch checks might lead you to the cause.
