It is interesting to note that on the R1082 shown on the link from the first page has had the 4-pin power connector replaced with an American 5-pin valveholder! The correct connector has the pins on the Rx, with the mating connector a free socket. With the modification shown the lead from the power supply would have exposed pins when unplugged - so I can only assume this is a typical amateur bodge by someone who couldn't find the correct connector, and not an official Canadian modification!
