I've been there, done it, worked for Nationalised Industries and got the T-Shirt.
Did you notice that in all the blurb the poor buggers who Specified the gear, designed it, tested it and got there arses out on the tracks and trains never got a mention? And I'd take bets that they did it all at half the pay, or less, than the Bureaucrats doing all the dodging, diving and job switching.
