When it comes to plots, I'm afraid I've 'lost the plot' with regards to using a taper resistor. It looks so simple and an excellent solution on the 'secret life of pots' diagrams - just add a taper resistor - job's a good 'un! However, try as I might, I either end up measuring just the taper resistor, or the taper resistor + linear pot, and get a linear curve. I understand the concept - at each point on the curve, it is bent upward by the value of the pot at that point + the value of the taper resistor added to it to simulate an anti-log pot. Simples one would think, but not 'numpty proof'!.
I'll have to revisit it hoping for a 'eureka moment' Lawrence
