I briefly touched on the subject of high inductance/impedance resonating primaries in relation to the coupling arrangements of RF amplifier coils in Davids Portadyne Princess thread, on later receivers I have, the coupling windings are low inductance and are generally of the ratio of 1 to 4 (Pri. to Sec.) I was wondering if this arrangement was used so the primary resonates outside the high end of the band being tuned as opposed to outside the low end of the band when high inductance primaries are used.
Any Guru's or anyone have any knowledge of this? Ideas etc?
