I agree David, a log pot will be to touchy just at the point you don't need it, I have used a Lin. pot on the regen I am working on (screen grid control) It's the only spare pot I had and it was very noisy at one end so I had to modifiy the pot divider to get the regen action more in the center of the track, good look with the reverse log, the only way I can see to get a log pot to work properly would be to modify the regen circuit so that the action lies on the slow part of the taper if that can be done.
