My debit card's been eaten!!

Mmm. I had a similar experience last Christmas but one, David. The bank got on to this quickly too, but not before several thousand pounds had gone and the account drained. A new card and all bills cancelled. I never got to know how it was done but it seems likely that it wasn't an internet fraud, more likely someone taking credit card details in a shop or restaurant.
I am rather puzzled, though - don't you use Paypal on Ebay, and if so, how did the fraudsters get your card details? I've always assumed that Paypal didn't divulge such information.
