Hi John, the cabinet was stripped as it was in a very poor state, i stained all the cabinrt exept the pieces that were painted (bitter chocolate colour) waxed with Briwax, repainted the edges, looks ok. The chassis is worth saving as was the cabinet, its rusty, but there must be a way of getting this off without stripping the chassis down, i will keep on looking till i find a solution.....Alan.
