Hi if its mullard/philips then it could be an El38 but i dont know I have had a look at some valve data and 6CD6 comes to mind ? but i havent taken the tv shassis out yet as i want to do the radio section first in the hope if part of it works that will give me insperation to go on to the next hurdle. The more i look at this the more i cringe all rubber wires have bad perishing. This tv has two magic eyes one in the radio and a diffrent type in the crt mask. Danny
