Thanks Gary
Sorry for the delay in responding to that query Gary - I've only just spotted it. The chuck capacity of the attachment in 10mm, (about 3/8") which is more than adequate for jobs that it's intended for, which is light drilling - not heavy duty. One guy who made an adverse comment about it in a review expected it to drive a 25mm flatbit to drill through a series of joists, which is asking rather a lot of it and goes beyond the limitations stated by the supplier. As I said earlier, £15.00 inc VAT and P&P is a keen price when compared to what seems to be the identical thing from another supplier at double the price.
I've been very pleased with it on the few occasions on which I've needed to use it.
I do agree with your comments about Li-ion rechargeables. I've got a couple of NiMh battery drills and whenever I need them I have to remember several hours in advance to charge them up as they self-discharge within a few weeks. Not really an issue for tradesmen who use them day-in, day-out, but it is for DIYers who use them spasmodically.
