Great things, jet-wash jobbies - big boys toys! You start looking for things to use it for - a bit like little lads in wellies who can't resist stepping into puddles just for the hell of it. I think I must have been deprived of water pistols as a child, or maybe I'm regressing, but I really enjoy jetwashing the pavers around our house, and on the front drive. No chore for me! I'd endorse Alan's cautionary comments about garden furniture. We have a teak bench and a picnic table/seat, which start to look a bit drab and the worse for wear by the end of winter, so every Spring I give it a jetwash, then when it's dry, I sand it off to get rid of the wood fibres from the raised grain, and give the furniture a coat of teak oil, which sees it through till winter.

(I dare say that your jetwash may well have stripped the old paint off your lathe Colin).
