Just a quick update. I couldn't sell my PYE P76 even for 99p but when I then broke it up I've just sold a few of the bits on eBay for just over £8. What's happening to our hobby?
Kind regards, Col.
Hello Col, I guess that there were a few out there that have a P76 less the bits you had up for sale, it's always a shame breaking up receivers but some times needs must.
I broke up a Hallicrafters SX 28 last year, these seem to be getting pretty rare now, the set was beyond it even so it broke my heart to scrap it, I put some of the bits to get another one working and that one has turned out to be a nice example of that model. Picking up a lot of receivers is usually quite straight forward, trouble is they stopped making spares many years ago. I have been after the proper S meter for my AR88D for ages....some hope. Also a speaker for my SX28...some hope of that as well...
Lawrence.
