Thank you Col, I'll admit that I enjoy doing the video clips and sharing almost as much as the work itself. When I started as an apprentice I remember the prevailing philosophy of keeping knowledge 'secret' which I never liked. I enjoy the way we all share experience and advice for the greater enjoyment of the hobby for all. Of course few of us here are using this 'hobby' to pay for the roof over our heads, etc. so it's easier to be open. Mind you, my other hobby is lutherie and I'm pleased to say the same openess exists in that community despite the fact that many make their living from it.
I've got a second 3028 chassis which will hopefully provide the remaining spares I need to complete this Grundig project. The only problem is my son in UK has it so I'll have to get over there in the car to pick it up and well the weather is hardly suitable for long drives at the moment. I don't dare risk the glass dial surviving the Post or even DHL. With a bit of luck I'll get over around Easter time.
