A great thread Colin, covering three of the trickiest jobs that restorers come up against. The cabinet looks splendid, with its bookmatched veneers. No doubt as very expensive receiver in its day in c 1937. The speaker looks original, and hence, is mains energised, so presumably the 600R field coil is still intact or you'll have another coil winding job on hand! But then you don't do 'easy' jobs do you!!
