Hi,
When I was working I used air nailer's for such things as pallet and packing case assembly. They are big boys toys; we mostly used ring shank nails and the gun would sink these rapidly. I could nail a small pallet together in a minute easily and the guns were used with an overhead counter balance suspended on a track. We used Bostitch nail guns.
I've never used a gas nail gun but for site work these are without a doubt the way to go and I've just done a quick web search for a few details. As with air nailer's gas guns will fire 2/3 nails per second. Gas nailer's though have a use rating and the one I looked at is rated at 1000 nails per hour and 4,000 nails per day. This sounds like a lot of nails but in the pallet industry these figures are easily exceeded.
A fuel cell lasts approx 1,250 nails and the rechargeable battery lasts 4,000 nails. It beats the heck out of using a hammer.

I've been privileged to see pictures of your new fence David and I agree the guys have done a great job.
Kind regards, Col.
