Hello Rob t, an interesting account of that customer and the amp. but as the reply is worded, then for me it is just here say, and thus could be interperated as a case of the Emporor's New Clothes. I still have to be convinced on the capacitor issue, I can understand that the different characteristics between different manufactures of electrolytics could make a difference in power supply regulation and other effects in very low impedance coupling circuits, it is the humble paper/foil/film capacitor that i would like a credible explanation for.
