Well bless my soul - I've just checked out that link and in looking at the history of the present company, there's no mention of the original Eddystone Co being taken over by GEC-Marconi, then taken over by Megahetz Comms who went bust. It shows a continuous timeline from 1923, stating that in 2006 Eddystone moved into new office and factory complex near Evesham, Worcestershire, and 2008 Eddystone became part of the Interface Group. Oh well, it's great that the name lives on, and that the factory isn't in Japan or China! No doubt with so much high grade Eddystone broadcasting kit still in existance the world over, there is real value in the trusted brand name worth preserving in the sphere of broadcasting.
