Given the state of the cabinet when you started, the transformation is little short of stunning. Your efforts to remove the dip in the top appear to have been 100% successful, and as I recall, there was other damage to attend to. it's evident even on a cursory glance, that much effort (and no doubt many coats!) has gone into getting the finish up to the standard that you've attained. The Grundig Marlborough is a fine radio, and given the sorry state of this one when it fell into your hands, following decades of neglect and abuse, you've attended to every detail of both the chassis and the cabinet. I know that the speaker fret is expensive, exacerbated by being at both ends as well as the front, but the set, and the standard of refurbishment that you strive to achieve, deserves nothing less, and looks just right. The dial is gong to be a real challenge as it's so large and detailed, and such a focal point, so it will be interesting to see how you approach that.
