Four brush coats of shellac on the cab-hopefully I'll get time for flatting at the weekend and see where it goes from there. I've added slight tints of black, brown and red to the shellac to darken the overall result and hopefully retain a subtle warmth to the final shade.
Brightwork is coming along. One of the side speaker grills was badly damaged so had I spent some time trying to get that flat and re-aligned. I think it looks OK now. I just shot a few coats of gold on both of them so I'll know later on if they look ok or need more work.
