Quick update on this, V3 valve base has been changed and the set works very well on both wave bands.
As I have little inclination it has taken over 2 months to do, I just need to work out the aerial coil on the back panel, it has two wonder type plugs and a loop of wire. I am guessing it goes to the frame aerial somehow.
Just needs putting back together. Thanks to John for the Knobs, I had to drill two off!
