I do not think you have lost the plot, but I wonder if the model K was modified from the table model.
It does strike me as odd that V3 and 4 are reversed in the K as the underside view of the chassis and top side view correspond. That does not detract from the fact the valves are reversed.
The moral........not everything in black and white is correct!
