About 40 years ago SWMBO's Boss asked me if I'd have a look at a Radio Controlled boat that he'd made for his son. Apparently he could only control it when he was very close to it. The reason was obvious, an unscreened and unsuppressed electric motor. So, I set to and added capacitors and chokes in the supply leads, and put the motor in a tinplate box, with the aerial at the front end. All seemed well until he tried it on the local boating lake. This time it got right out into the middle before refusing to respond, and sat there going round in circles. He had to wade out and recover it. I think he saw the funny side, but it didn't stop him extracting the Michael at some length
