Thanks David, all good tips, I will have a good look at it this week, and will order some caps, going to take my time on this one, as I want to make a good job of it, first job is to get it working, it has a constant hum that does not alter with the volume, unable to receive anything, even with an aerial wire inserted, but does crackle slightly when you adjust the volume control, but the original wax caps are still in place, the only one that has been changed is the 25uf cathode bypass cap, and I am pretty sure I have a spare Mullard EF39 to replace that valve with,
