Really, it's quite bizarre in a way, that this little lathe will give me more pleasure than if I bought a brand new one, which I could afford to do, and I'd only be eating into my kids' inheritance, but I think that most on the forum will understand that sentiment. Mending old things, giving them a new lease of life, is what we do and what we enjoy doing. I think I'm destined to be a posthumous goldmine with a house full of what others consider to be 'grandad's junk'. Hopefully, a long time from now!
