Thanks both. I'll look at maybe getting some pictures and maybe even expanding with much more detail. As to the repair, I needed a second sig gen to complete the alignment on my Marconi 2955R which I have recently repaired.
There's a huge write up on that over on the Marconi Instruments forum for anyone who's on there. Got stuck with the alignment of the sensitive RX on that which calls for a second sig gen to complete.
I will say, that as difficult as the Marconi was, this Farnell did give me a bit of a challenge. But as I used to work for Marconi comms some years ago after leaving the Royal Signals, that bit of kit I was fairly familiar with. And, the technical manual is superb, unlike the Farnell one which is pretty dire.
