It must've been a super fun time to have been around!
I'm not a fan of TV... but the electronickery is fascinating... Alan Blumlein's waveform with EMI, and later the coming of colour, all shoe-horned into the same waveform, monochrome-compatible.
And of course the productionising eventually of colour CRT's, and manufacturing them at an affordable price.
