Bit later. The TX9 was 1979, and the TX10 was 1981.
It would have been indeed 1981 that we were converting TX10s for schools to use AV with VCR or BBC computer or RM 380Z.
We tried to decode the Apple II (not IIc), but the UK version was messed up compared to USA (which wasn't even proper NTSC anyyway), but even with changing TV from PAL to NTSC and custom crystals it didn't work. We did get it to work with real NTSC.
