How did the optocouplers work?
Some issues
Powering isolated side needs an isolated PSU.
Linearity is dreadful for analogue.
Speed can be an issue for video.
I've seen them used for serial data (inc MIDI) and obviously SMPSUs. Never seen them used for analogue audio or video.
