I replaced my Samsung S8 recently. I bought it several (4 or 5?) years ago, secondhand from a local shop. But I'm the Three network who are turning off 3G at the moment. The S8 can do 4G but not phonecalls or texts over 4G. So it was working in some cells but not others.
I bought a S22 (top of Samsung's range about 2 years ago) in what looks like immaculate condition from Backmarket. https://www.backmarket.co.uk/en-gb Cost me about £230. I think mine was in the condition they call "excellent". Price has gone up slightly since I bought, probably xmas demand. I would highly recommend Backmarket.
