If my wife wanted a new phone, it would be her xmas present!
Never know what to get her, despite her saying (like me) "nothing I want"! We treated ourselves this year to 3 night stay in Liverpool. Loved it in April, returned in September.
Mind you, with my birthday being boxing day, over the years I have had driving and firing experiences on 60163 Tornado and 34081 92 Squadron. Then this year, a driving experience on class 37 diesel electric D6732, out and back Sheringham to Holt as second man, then same again but driving. Around 11 miles there and back, with 4 coaches and my wife as one of the passengers. Several years ago a signalman's experience day at Holt on North Norfolk railway. Included a couple of footplate rides mas a bonus.
Plus a Lancaster bomber taxy run at East Kirkby, standing behind the pilot. Those exhaust flames at startup! Also a sit in a Spitfire at Duxford and also a Mosquito (East Kirkby), both with informative talks. The Mosquito was nearly booked for me as an engine startup and a taxy run, but spine surgery meant I was not quite able bodied enough for an emergency exit.
You may gather I like WW2 aircraft and railways!
