The wire in mine made the finest mains primary winding I'd ever seen look like pipes.
I glued a regular wire and pad. Then used a magnifier under a magnifying lamp and poked the insane thing onto wire and reflowed. I couldn't imagine that someone would design and build a tiny coil of 45K Ohms in 1935. The 2K headphones must be using massively fatter wire.
I'd suspect hard to wind more than 1 K ohm on the former without experience and a machine.
