I don't know enough about it to say.
The article only mentions 525 and 625 lines.
As far as I understand the R-Pi works on 405 lines only because the graphics chip it uses is very configurable.
I cant see how that would transfer to a PC with a standard graphic chip.
Hopefully I an wrong about that.
