I’ve done a V1 modulator HAT design and got some on order, this uses two ic2 modulators as per Frank’s Hedghog (hope you don’t mind), has an I2C level shifter for one of them and an EEPROM for HAT+ compatibility. Also audio is via a DAC on the I2S output.
Put an AV Jack on it as per Pi4 and earlier as well as a filtered RF output. I thought it would be interesting to see if it is possible to create an output in the Medium Wave/ Broadcast Band for audio by running the two modulators in heterodyne via a low pass LC filter.
Haven’t written any I2C code yet but we’ll see if any of this works!
