In the first post, the Eidophor is shown being loaded in Suffolk.
Looking inside it's a truly wondrous machine. There's an Edwards vacuum pump and what looks like a compressor from a domestic fridge. The engineering looks somewhere between automotive and steampunk.
As far as we know, there are only two surviving Eidophors. Ours and the one at the ETF in Ohio.
There were a few papers in a folder inside the door. I've scanned them and attached one here. We've been told that it was originally installed at the Odeon Leicester Square and was used to show live sport. This paper provides direct evidence.

Could we ever get it working? It would be a very difficult project. The lamp (a xenon arc) is missing but that's the least of the problems.
We intend to display it at our open days on 25/26 May.
