Found out a bit more by digging around. It is to produce approx 60GWh gas and 8GWh electricity a year. According to the planning application the site is 2km to the SE of Spalding town. Yes, possibly the town centre. It is approx 350M from the well poulated urban development of the town edge.
It is said it is for processing the remaining vegetable waste from an adjacent cabbage protein waste site already under construction. No mention of this in THAT original application, I can only assume the AD is a "new" idea they only just discovered!
Looking at UK map showing all other existing sites with some details, I have contacted that organisation who provide it for some interpretation of sizes like Hemswell so I can get an idea what our one might be like.
Btw, there is already an approved planning permission for a grid battery storage bank approx 2GW just across town, the largest in Europe they say. It all happens here in this fenland rural market town famed for it's tulips of years gone by.
Anyway, mods, please let us know if this is going ot for this forum.
Thanks,
Rob
