Likely 470 Ohms is OK with silicon rectifier. Not too critical. I'd use a 330 or 560 if that's all I had.
Power rating at least Vsquared/R + 25% margin, so even 2.5 W (3W better) might do fine. Likely the leaky caps on grids meant massive currents earlier.
