You can actually try to regenerate a cracked wax cylinder in a fitted metal sleeve. The cylinder only needs to be positioned exactly in the center and slightly heated. Raising the temperature only to the melting level should not affect its properties.

MachinableWax.com is a good idea to produce more new cylinders. The parameters of this wax may be better than the original.
