Television reception in the car

 An ideal car to accommodate the Ekco TV receiver.

The only trouble was, in 1956 there was nothing to watch while on the way to the important board meeting, except maybe Test Card 'C' and music.

However, on the way back, maybe our Captain of Industry could enjoy 'Watch with Mother'... at a quarter-to-four.

My grandfather in Sevenoaks in the 1950s obtained a television set, and according to my Mum would sit solemnly through 'Andy Pandy' in the afternoon.
