Going back to some of the earlier on topic posts such as the one from Jeffrey that little has changed except the technology I rather hoped that was the way this thread would develop.
I have had in interest in cars since my dad first let me help decoke the cylinder head of his Morris Traveller maybe even before that finding bits of tractor and Landrover home on the farm in the early 60's.
I read many articles about advancements which are often conflicting one minute Toyota are developing a solid state battery for their vehicles the next using ammonia in an ICE engine.
I have learned much about the practical chemistry of these things through some pretty decent on line tutorials. (for instance what a great fuel ammonia is but how deadly).
Seems even the experts are struggling with the next steps.
When I first posted about EV's must have been 10 years ago they were very few in number and not expected by many to make much of an impact.
Now it seems like a pretty expensive electric car will be the best seller in Europe this year.

What can we look forward to in the next 10 years? The technology in all vehicles over the last 20 years has been mind boggling.
I except that many of us don't like change even though its inevitable.
I won't be at all upset if this thread is closed it grew into something of a monster.
Cheers
