Television reception in the car

I keep hearing about electronic noise in modern cars but, although I haven't tried extensive equipment, I am not sure that it is really the case. I find the am radio in my car is actually the best I have ever heard in a car as regards interference, and we are talking about a hybrid so there will be plenty of electronics. When I think about when I was little and passing vehicles pushing a crackle through, and seeing in all the old manuals tricks to supress interference for mobile use.

You may well be right but I am not convinced.
