DAC90a, DAC10 and similar: The voltage isn't that important as it's serial, it's the current rating that is more important. In general I think most LEDs make rotten scale lights. Only the amber ones for some very small meters, but even there I use long life types under-run. I've not found anything yet I couldn't get a filament lamp for. No LED matches the spectrum or omnidirectional nature. I keep the working bulbs of dead Christmas tree strings since I found that the back light in a HiFi LCD panel was best replaced by one. It has a 3cm deep triangular box with bulb fitted at the point. I couldn't get the LCD evenly lit with LEDs.
