Service and repair request - Glasgow

Hi I live in Rutherglen near Glasgow and have just inherited a beautiful bang and olufsen beomaster radiogram 2250 but it looks like the speakers and record player will need some restoration work, I’m wondering if anyone has any recommendations for someone that could help?
I hope this is the right forum sorry if it’s not.

https://www.radiomuseum.org/r/bang_beoma..._2250.html If so, it uses transistors rather than valves. Some vintage enthusiasts prefer to work only on valve equipment but I didn't think Trevor was in that category. With apologies to Trevor if I've misrepresented him.

Sorry I've not been around. I assume this is the one I got a PM from on the UKVRRR yesterday and responded with my phone number and as yet have not received a reply. As I can now see its a B&O and as an ex B&O dealer with still an acid taste in my mouth as to the way I was latterly treated I'm afraid I won't take on any of their products and never will do. I suggest you approach their dealer in Milngavie for service, you'll need deep pockets though. Good luck.

No problem. Any B&O spares and manuals were dumped when I closed the doors. Sadly we lost the contract as we had to spend a quarter of a million pounds with them per annum, we only did service. They are nice units but very awkward to service, some are Philips based with grossly inflated spares prices. The models with smoked glass control panels are difficult to dismantle and repair. The glass is easy to damage and no longer available, even if I didn't have an issue with the manufacturer I'd be very wary of them though, any damage is virtually impossible to sort out. Ask for an estimate from the dealer in Milngavie, sorry the name is lost from my gray matter. Regards. PS for example a stylus for the turntable is £175.

Admittedly the 2250 is 60s and not as difficult to work on. The issue would be spares but no doubt some would be available certainly in Denmark, its not a common one here in the UK. Im not sure if a B&O dealer would look at it in this day and age. What is the issue with the turntable and speakers out of interest. Being solid state and with decent caps etc it's unlikely to be a problem powering it up after a few years sleeping.
