Yes Terry Ekco uses the thick and thin pins for their 5a connector.
My T368 has this type.

Definitely Ekco. My T311 uses that connector.

Jeffrey/Trevor. I have now found a reasonable picture of the Ekco connector. If either of you have a spare minute could you measure the pin diameters and spacing? Also is there any manufacturer or model data on the connectors?

So far I have amassed info on over 150 'appliance' connectors with varying amounts of data on each, but at least there are links to pictures of most of them. The 150 covers both mains and DC power applications. 

I have run into a bit of a brick wall  with the Jones and Painton series of plugs and sockets. There seems to be confusion about which is which. This is complicated even further by references to a  'miniature' Jones series. The links below explain the problem better than I can.

So far I have been unable to track down a spec sheet or dimensional drawing of the original series as used on T1154/R1155 etc. Can anyone point me in the right direction? A second option would be that someone has an original plug that they could measure the blade length, width, thickness, distance between blade centres and distace between rows.

Any help appreciated.

Is miniature Jones possibly Painton 159 series? As used on some Quad amps and are hard to find these days.

Thanks Jeffrey, I will have a look for that series of connectors.

Refugee, I don't think that is a Jones plug. It looks more akin the polarised version of the US 2 pin mains plug and socket. What equipment did it come from? Seeing it has just reminded me that I need to look at older Tektronix kit that used the 3 pin US mains connector.

The connector I have shown is about the same size as a 2 pin DIN plug and socket.
I found it in the left overs from a language school refurbishment.
