My ancient handheld Fluke 8020 has a conductance range that can give sensible results up to 100M ohms or so. Bought from that place that in the arches at St Pancras station years ago. Used to hold mega testgear sales. I think it cost me £50 back around 1981. Seemed like quite a lot but it was very good value.
If I need to measure high resistances I'll use my EHT power supply. Set up 500V or 1kV with a DMM and measure the current.
