Greetings to you all, I am requesting that if anyone has any information on the early AVO LRO could they confirm! I have bought one, which is the same size as the earlier DC only avominor, but with a modified front panel and Belling Lee terminals on top. Google images has a pic of it now. It is serial number 370-441, and catalogue ads. from 1939 list it as 'cancelled', which infers to me that however many had been made at that point were withheld in case the military needed them for defeating Herr Schickelgruber.
I have made this meter work properly, but it is feeling rather lonely and I may have to make the decision to withdraw it from service if it turns out to be the only one in existence! If anyone could furnish me with serial numbers of any of it's companions I would be grateful. In the catalogue ad I have mentioned, the other unit listed as 'cancelled' is the HR DC Avominor - which does not appear to exist AT ALL.
I have asked Megger, who politely replied however it does appear that the Luftwaffe, paper recycling and the process of 'moving house' has compromised their early records to the extent that they know nothing of this meter. Which is fair enough really.
Thankyou.
