Joe, (formerly of this Parish), recently put me onto a keyless chuck to save faffing around with collets for 'Dremel' type drills. It fits Dremel and other-brand rotary tools with 9/32" (7.5mm) fine-threaded spindle. The chuck allows you to quickly and easily change drill bits and accessories without using collets, and it accepts accessories from 0,5mm to 3.2mm shank. It's ideal for me when drilling PCBs as I use .8mm, 1mm and 1.2mm drills and one sized collet won't fit all three sizes. It's made from heat treated & tempered drop forged #45 high-carbon steel, and is heavily knurled so you can tighten it with fingers.
It cost (if 'cost' is the right word!), just £1.39 post free and arrived in nine days from China:

I can't fault it - it looks really well made and functions perfectly.
I've attached a pic of my cheapskate 'Dremel' type rotary tool, with the original collets and the chuck alongside, and also, a close-up pic of the keyless chuck.
Hope that might be of interest.
