Golborne Swapmeet April 6 - NVCF, May 11th 2014

Both of these events will soon be upon us.

Unfortunately I won't make it to Golborne this time around due to family commitments, but we'll be going to the NVCF ('we' being myself and my wife Jennifer, that is). Being a northern cheapskate, I've Just booked Premier Inn at Balsall Common about 14 miles from the Warwick Showground - a cheapo £39.00 a night deal.

Hope to see a few chums there - anyone going?

I'll be coming up to Golborne again. I first came last April and thought what an enjoyable, friendly get together it was, came again last November and now it's a 'must do' on my calendar! Well worth the drive up.

I'll also be at the NVCF but due to my 'new job' on the BVWS committee, I'll be stuck in the little glass aquarium taking your monies for most of the day! Hopefully I'll get a chance for a good look around when things calm down a bit in the afternoon.

Now only a week to go...

The BVWS stall will be there as usual and we will be loaded up with lots of radios, tape recorders, early video recorders and even laser disc players.
There will also be boxes and boxes of valves and components and just about anything else I can squeeze onto the van!

The usual mix of 405 Line TV programs will be showing throughout the day on old tellies for everyone to view.

The BVWS Capacitors and books will be there too, so a good chance to stock up on everything needed for the next few restorations.

If you have not yet booked your table, or are unable to get through to Mark, don't despair, we will always make space for you and your car full of stuff on the day.

The more - The merrier!

Although this is a BVWS event, we are very glad to see anyone who is interested and you will get a warm welcome and an invite in to see what is going on.

I'm sorry to say that despite my best efforts to get everyone organised I won't make it this time.
I've simply been overtaken by other commitments and can't escape sufficiently to make the trip practical.
