Many thanks for your interesting post Ted and yes please I would be delighted to receive a copy of the clutch drawing. I've just sent you a PM.
If possible and if not subjected to copyright perhaps you could include the drawing on this thread as it is highly relevant and all such information is to be encouraged.
I've bought through eBay a 9mm x 1.5mm die as I want to run this size thread onto the end of the counter-shaft; this is the size of the original thread so I'll stick with it. I'm awaiting delivery of the die but I'm also awaiting delivery of some decent weather.
If you have any additional information Ted regarding powering the clutch coil it would be most welcome because eventually I'll get around to this part of the project. My energizing coil is 12V and I've been kindly given a suitable transformer; I've been informed an extra Diode would be beneficial in protecting the coil but hopefully I'll gain more information at a later date and add the details to the thread.
