Don't know what you get for your money though!

I dare say that the chassis will have also been used in a Grundig Table model radio under different model name and number, for which a circuit would be more easily found than for a gram, but qute what, would be anyone's guess. I get the impression that this model was made for export (certainly if the dial legends are in English), but whether it was sold extensively in mainland Europe I've no idea. I quite like the big Grundigs etc, with their flywheel tuning and large dials. What I always find scary about them is all the piano key switchery and the unfamilar method of circuit layouts compared to UK firms.

Thanks for your reply TEDZED.. They seem to stop at Mandello 4. The set I have is transistor.

You may need to search the site to find an equivalent scematic.
I have recently been working on my Mandello radiogram, and that is all transistor.

Mine turned out to be the C160 scematic, I have attached it for you to compare.

Hi, Looked at the schematic and seems to be the one. The only thing not now working is the stereo indicator.. The circuit does not seem to make sense, a dc supply through a cap. to illuminate the lamp?
I don't know about others thoughts but I just can't get worked up over such a set. My moto has always been If one man made it another can mend it.. However if a machine placed the components, a flow solder process did the rest, I can't let my mind wander to thoughts about what was the man like who made this? etc.
I received this in a battered cabinet which is only good for fire wood, if anyone would like the chassis, speakers and turntable and can arrange transport they are welcome to it.. If the urge overtook them to donate a little something to help our quest to make more for people to see, we would be very grateful.

Hello pyrusboy does yours have the separate decoder module, as I am after one for mine.
It is the 8U version, plugs into a seven pin connector, mine is replaced bt a small tag board
comprising one resistor & one capacitor.

Hi, No the plug in unit is just a resistor and cap.. If anyone wants this and is attending the BVWS meet at Royal Wooton Bassett next weekend I can put it in the car to meet up at the meet.
