Transistor Tester

I was over at my mates sawmill today and he came by a "box with a meter on it" said I could have it, turns out it is an Eagle TT 145 Transistor Checker, don't think there is a battery in it, shake the case and the needle moves ok it has the three original leads (I think) and plugs/clips coloured red,black & yellow.
I seem to recollect one of these from years ago...Worth keeping??

Thanks Joe, I will try and stuff a picture up (tomorrow) but briefly a biased center neutral position lever switch... Neutral position (center) = Check...one way = Ico....'tother way = Alpha/Beta.
Rotary function switch...PNP - Off - NPN - Diode Forward - Diode Reverse.
Another function switch...General - Adj. - High Power (Presumably small signal and high power transistors)
An Adjustment Pot.
Two diode terminals (A & K..Black binding posts)
Three transistor connecting plugs/leads/crocclips plugging into three individual sockets..Collector = red, base = yellow, emmitter = black.
Seperate 4 way panel mounted socket (Spring contacts) Collector, Shield, Base & Emitter ( for stuffing AF11's etc into)
Meter scale reads:
Alpha .7 tp .9967
Beta 0 to 300
Ohms 0 to Infinity (Usable to about 1.5 meg.)
Ico 0 to 50 ua & 0 to 1 ma

Quite well made (externally) not been inside yet.

Hi Lawrence, i too own a little Heathkit transistor tester, Model IT-27, nothing spectacular, it tests diodes as well, npn and pnp, battwery powered, edge meter at front, link below shows what it looks like...regards Alan.

Ok....Here are a couple of pics of the unit as received, not done a thing to it but checked meter on Avo ohms...some kind of deflection..Mechanical set meter zero works ok.

Internally one of the wirewound resistors appears to have done some overtime..
Takes a PP3 battery, will look into it more when I have time, well made inside.
